Anniversary Podcast!

Hard to believe, but this show marks the 1-year anniversary of our podcasts. We'd like to say we've grown. We've certainly (only recently) perfected the podcrafting session. LAN Party history gets a bit fuzzy over the years but this is quite a milestone for us. Stay alert and hyper-vigilant for the podcast's terrible-two period.
Honestly, halloween is just another day of the year where we're tempted to accelerate tooth decay with awful, calorie packed candy-beans. It happened to be the first week we decided to hit the “record” button and save the show for generations to come.

Without further ado, heres the show:

In the interest of the show's continued growth and evolution I have a question for you faithful listeners; Should the LAN Party create a facebook page? I flip-flop on the issue but if the fans want it, we can make it happen. Let us know. We love comments!

Fresh podcast for our listeners. And a haiku.

Without Truth, what's false?

It feels lonely without the cast of The Truth to keep us company while we're busy podcrafting but we'll eventually regrow our hard, calloused perspective that frightens strangers and creates a hostile environment.
We're continually finding more CDs in rotation that we enjoy and feel the need to share with you. This influx of music is quite welcome, as the studio pickin's were rather slim in years past. A solid block of Mushman's portion of the show was all music in rotation. Exciting.

We heard through the grapevine that the webstream is still down. We apologize for our interweb listeners. If we knew how to fix it, we would. Instead, we'll just yell at all of the Apple computers in the studio as if they're the problem (Well, they are a source of problems. Just not this time.)

Can you handle The Truth?

Tonight's show was all about The Truth.

Yes, The Truth's final show followed our show tonight. We look forward to the next person who will fill the 2-4am Wednesday morning slot. If you want to hear The Truth installments from the past, click here.
Those astute listeners will catch on to the pattern in tonight's show. Truth is bandied about like a Muskegon whore.

We enjoy these challenges; look for more "theme LAN Parties" in the future. It will help weed out those heckling requests. If you have any suggestions for themes, let us know. Theres a comment button down there somewhere.

Things we can endorse and things we can't.

First Fuck Glee!

I'm glad shitty covers of shitty songs have created the illusion that this shitty show is somehow competing with anything the Beatles did.

So for all your Glee fans, so many more things to come, a series of books based on this shit show, they were asked to sing at the white house oh and why not, 7 or 8 soundtrack CD's most of which are out already, and you know what The LAN Party won't play any of it, Sorry Fox, you could of kept Mole Tweaker in a good show but you canceled it.

In contrast ICP turns out to be Evangelical Christians.

I won't pretend that I'm surprised, when I saw the Miracle video one of my first thoughts was, how is this any different from Christian Rap. This is one of those lack luster victories, as I don't give a shit either way, it's far too late. Juggalos already are having kids and are spreading the word of their lord god apparently. I truly wonder how they feel about it, I would feel betrayed, but that's me and I feel betrayed when someone get's my order wrong at a restaurant. Which by the way does not happen very often because I enunciate.

Here is a very succinct review of the "Miracles" http://emptv.com/videos/understanding-insane-clown-posses-miracles

I would like to at this point say that if Science does somehow ruin the magick then how does knowing god did it all keep the veil?

I suppose if I was a juggalo I would use this opportunity to talk about how positive a message it has been all along and that it now has given me the tools to be inclusive and not worry about what religion someone is or why they might be trying to convert me.

Violent J turns to him and says, softly, "If we moved furniture for a living we'd have a bad back or bad knees. We think for a living. We try to create. We try to constantly think of cool ideas. And every once in a while there's a breakdown in the engine… I guess that's the price you pay."

Shaggy nods quietly. "I get anxiety and shit a lot," he says. "And reading that stuff people write about us… It hurts."

It's something special when by the end of the article I started to feel for them, I suppose I'm getting soft in my old age or perhaps it speaks to the writing of Jon Ronson.

Now something we fully endorse http://www.redlettermedia.com/
If you don't know what this is do your self a favor and click on Plinkett Reviews, they are all epic and very good, but the Star Wars reviews are by far the most extensive and engrossing. Instead of watching the prequels watch his reviews of them and you will never feel the need again, because he spells out with humor exactly why so many of us hated those movies even if we could not put it into words.

Stock up on your Haterade.

Welp,
What a show!

We noticed that the volume on the call-line phone was turned down about halfway through the show. If you called for a request and we didn't answer, don't take it personal. We also may have gotten that Protomen request incorrect. The lesson your DJs took away from this is to WRITE THINGS DOWN.

We kept the talking to a minimum and the rawking to the MAX! Lots of new music, and we attempted to throw in a few spooky sounding songs in anticipation of the 2010 Halloween show. Crispin Hellion Glover was our G.A.P.E.S. artist of the week. That was spooky.

A sad bit of news; The Truth with Don Cheadle will be ending next week. I'm sure Don has an especially good show for us all. You can listen to us if for no other reason than to warm up for The Truth.

To help dry those tears and replace the sad emotions with confusion and revulsion, let us present this week's LAN Party2.0!
